Key Qualifications:

Current certification as an IR Technologist (ARRT or equivalent). Proven experience with a range of interventional procedures. Proficiency in operating advanced imaging equipment and maintaining sterile technique during all interventions. Strong knowledge of radiation safety and best practices within an IR suite. Ability to effectively communicate and support patients before, during, and after procedures. Exceptional organizational skills and capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Valid BLS certification required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and position patients for IR procedures in accordance with physician orders. Operate imaging systems to support interventional and diagnostic services. Assist radiologists and physicians throughout various vascular and non-vascular procedures, maintaining sterile field requirements and accurate documentation. Monitor patient well-being, comfort, and safety during procedures, offering clear instructions and reassurance. Perform quality control checks and routine maintenance of imaging equipment to ensure optimal function. Collaborate closely with nursing staff and medical providers to deliver comprehensive patient care. Keep meticulous records, comply with hospital protocols, and follow regulatory standards at all times.
