Job Description
Job Summary Clinch River Health Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team, where your expertise in medical imaging and diagnostic evaluation will play a vital role in patient care. In this energetic primary care setting, you will operate x-ray imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographs assisting providers in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a primary care setting for a Federally Qualified Community Health Center. Duties Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray scans with precision and attention to detail. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and applying aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Operate complex imaging equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols and medical terminology standards. Assist providers with diagnostic radiology evaluations by providing high-quality images for accurate interpretation. Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures, patient information, and equipment logs while ensuring compliance with health regulations. Support the calibration and maintenance of imaging devices to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Qualifications Proven experience in diagnostic radiology or related fields such as primary care, emergency medicine, or trauma centers; primary care experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in primary care situation. Certification or licensure as a Radiology Technician is required. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
