  • 257045 Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift Pay Grade Job Description Team Leader, Ultrasound III participates on the clinical ladder which reflects a degree of professional practice and clinical expertise.
Responsible for overseeing daily activities within US to maintain highly efficient patient flow, optimize staff and equipment productivity and assure that highest clinical quality is provided by all US team members. Ensures US departments are operating within budgetary guidelines by ensuring department is staffed appropriately in accordance with volume demand. Obtains appropriate documentation from technical staff to ensure compliance with state and national licensing/accrediting agencies as well as compliance with all Valley Health policies and requirements to include Annual Safety Training, PPD, Fit Testing and BLS certification. Assist Manager/Corporate Director with pertinent feedback for the completion of the annual performance evaluations and the development of departmental competencies. Provides new employee orientation to include a thorough review of US protocols and clarifies performance expectations with new employees and provides ongoing feedback on a regular basis. Education Completion of an accredited Sonography program is required. Experience (5) years of successful experience in healthcare/medical
  • radiology (Imaging and Therapy). Successful work experience as a staff Sonographer required. (2) years of supervisory experience preferred. Certification & Licensures Certified by and a current member of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) required. BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
  • American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP)
  • AHA approved required.
New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
