Prepare and administer contrast media for enhanced imaging, closely monitor patients during procedures, and assist with minimally invasive, image-guided interventions like biopsies and drain placements. Position Overview Provide high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) imaging services to patients in accordance with established protocols, under the supervision of a qualified physician. The CT Technologist performs all CT procedures following departmental standards and physicians' orders, adheres to regulatory guidelines for radiation safety, and administers contrast media as required per protocol. Key Responsibilities Consistently deliver quality CT imaging, ensuring accurate, timely studies that meet protocol standards and support optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate closely with supervising physicians to perform CT scans, following clinical protocols and adapting techniques as necessary for each patient. Educate patients and families about imaging procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive care experience. Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained, clean, and in optimal working condition. Accurately complete all required department documentation, contributing to effective patient care and recordkeeping. Manage supply inventory to ensure readiness for all scheduled and emergent examinations. Strictly adhere to radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements. Skillfully administer CT contrast agents in accordance with protocol and patient safety guidelines. Qualifications Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology ARRT or CNMT Must obtain ARRT (CT) advanced registry within 2 years of hire
