Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital clinical role where your expertise in Interventional Radiology can make a true difference. Facilities are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in imaging, specifically as an IR Tech, to support their high-performing radiology team. This contract opportunity provides a chance to utilize advanced imaging technology in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
Key Qualifications:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required Advanced credentialing or substantial experience in Interventional Radiology as an IR Tech Familiarity with IR procedures, including angioplasty, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access Demonstrated proficiency with fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound-guided interventions Strong patient communication and bedside manner Team-oriented and able to adapt in a fast-paced clinical workspace Current BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist radiologists with complex diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures Safely operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly Ensure accurate patient assessment, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care Maintain equipment and room cleanliness according to infection control guidelines Accurately complete necessary documentation in the EMR system Adhere strictly to all safety and privacy policies
