How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:
Imaging student tech with flexible hours. Student will not be scheduled for work if school clinical rotation interferes. Position located primarily at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital but may be asked to travel to Carilion Giles Community Hospital. The imaging technician student is involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for and/or performing CT examinations for diagnosis of patients. Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served. Under direct supervision of a registered technologist, operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality radiographs. Performs duties associated with processing patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing skills. Evaluates and positions patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
What We Require:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent education required. Current student in 3rd or 4th quarter of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience:
Letter of support from Program Director.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
