1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel contract requiring ARRT (R) and VI certifications, with at least 1 year of IR experience. Details Interventional Radiology department within an acute care hospital setting Patient population includes adolescents and adults Procedures include GI bleeds, hybrid OR cases, port placements, angiograms, tube placements, and dialysis catheter insertions 4 days per week with a varying day off, working 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM 32 hours per week On-call hours are required, which may include evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends Charting via Epic EMR On-site only; no teleworking Requirements Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; registry eligible with certification obtained prior to start of employment ARRT registration inRadiologic Technology:
R.T.(R) required; ARRT Vascular-Interventional (VI) certification required for travelers ARRT VI certification must be obtained within 18 months of start date if not already held Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required WI X-ray License required — license required if applicable Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology required Active license required; no pending licenses accepted Associate's degree preferred Experience within a sterile environment and with aseptic technique preferred Date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Produces high-quality diagnostic images meeting Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology standards across IR and assigned OR areas Must maintain competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technology, and practice safety guidelines for patients and support personnel Flexibility required to staff various work locations, shift times, and shift lengths Fosters teamwork through effective communication across the care team COVID vaccination and booster required Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 1 year of IR-specific experience is required American Traveler Job ID #P-700433.
