  • Full-time We are seeking a 1st Shift Certified Radiographic Inspector (RT Level II) to test critical components for our diverse customer base.
This is an opportunity to be part of our growing Nadcap NDT department with advanced capabilities, such as utilizing our state-of-the-art Linear Accelerator. We are looking for a dedicated, trustworthy individual with training and experience necessary to perform the Level II responsibilities described. Our employees apply their experience, skills, expertise, and knowledge to produce alloy components for high temperature, wear, and corrosion environments in many high-compliance industries including military, aerospace, petrochemical and power generation. Perform independently radiographic operations including selection of appropriate techniques, positioning of materials, exposure of film, etc. to identify and assess defects in castings and weldments. Perform all darkroom procedures to develop film. Interpretation of film results to determine whether parts pass or fail inspection based on knowledge of defect seriousness, codes, standards and customer specifications. Prepare necessary documentation of inspection process. Move parts using forklifts, hoists and other lifting equipment, to facilitate inspection. Review new customer orders to help determine proper processing through X-Ray operations. Obtain certification(s) and perform or assist in other NDT disciplines as needed.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED and post High School education in other NDT methods required. 3 years of experience in radiography of castings required. Certifiable to RT Level II per
SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, MIL-STD-2132, NAVSEA
Tech Pub. 010/271 Able to follow written and verbal instruction with minimal supervision. Ability to be certified as Trustworthy and Reliable, including an FBI background check. Possess a strong work ethic, along with excellent verbal and written skills Maintain a high attention to detail and hold the ability to work as a team player. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Office, Excel, PowerPoint). High technical and mechanical aptitude. Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, mammography, DEXA scans, and advanced modalities such as PET scans and CT scans. Your expertise will support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning across a variety of clinical settings, including emergency rooms, urgent care centers, and trauma centers. You will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining strict safety and aseptic techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your technical skills and physiology knowledge make a real difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray machines, mammography units, DEXA scanners, CT scanners, PET scan devices, and sonography tools. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and medical imaging protocols to maintain patient safety and image quality. Accurately position patients to obtain optimal images for diagnostic evaluation of bones, tissues, organs, and physiological functions. Review images for clarity and accuracy; collaborate with radiologists or physicians for further analysis or additional imaging if needed. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and technical data in compliance with healthcare regulations. Follow all safety guidelines related to radiation exposure and infection control standards in emergency room settings, Level I Trauma Centers, or Level II trauma centers. Qualifications Proven experience in diagnostic radiology with proficiency in X-ray technology; additional experience in nuclear medicine, sonography, mammography, DEXA scans, CT scans, PET scans, or ultrasound is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Demonstrated ability to operate advanced imaging equipment safely within an emergency medicine or trauma center environment. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices essential for patient safety. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds. Certification as an X-Ray Technician (e.g., ARRT or equivalent) required; additional certifications in mammography or nuclear medicine are a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings such as emergency rooms or urgent care facilities.
