Radiology Technologist - New Cumberland, West Virginia

Category Imaging - X-ray Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-ray imaging, located in New Cumberland, WV. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic imaging department, supporting various diagnostic and interventional procedures with state-of-the-art equipment.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts per week Steady afternoon and midnight shifts Every other weekend midnight coverage

Responsibilities:

Perform general X-ray studies across three general rooms and two portable units Provide imaging support in OR procedures including cystoscopy, orthopedics, and GI cases Conduct fluoroscopy cases for orthopedics and GI exams Float efficiently between general radiology, fluoroscopy, and OR settings Handle an average of 110 scans/studies per day using EMR Community Works and PACS Intellirad/Intelliconnect systems Work independently during overnight shifts as the sole technologist in the department

Qualifications:

Valid ARRT certification and WV X-ray License required BLS certification mandatory

WV CARES

certification must be obtained before starting Ability to function competently in all modalities: general X-ray, portables, OR, and fluoroscopy First-time travelers encouraged to apply Must have an unexpired driver's license and reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; any licensing issues must be disclosed upfront

Department Highlights:

The department operates with 4 imaging rooms, including OEC C-arms and advanced equipment by GE, Philips, Siemens, and Del Medical. Staffing includes 6-7 techs during daytime, 3-4 for evenings, and 1 for overnight shifts. The imaging team is supported by an imaging director and manager, with radiologist coverage until 5 pm and on-call services overnight.
