1 Description American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment at an acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 1 year of CT experience. Details Acute care hospital setting in the CT department, which has 1 scanner Performs ER and inpatient CT as well as X-ray procedures Common studies include head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, CTAs, PE studies, and run-offs Average of 20 scans/studies per day Uses Canon CT scanner and Merge
RIS/PACS MEDITECH EMR
is used in this position Float coverage to X-ray is required Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 6:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM Every 3rd weekend rotation required Holiday coverage is required on an as-needed basis Requirements Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience Current BLS (AHA) certification required ARRT (CT) certification required Experience with head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTAs, and PE studies required; experience with run-offs preferred IV start experience and ability required Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Valid driver's license required for consideration License required if applicable Additional Information Technologist will work independently, performing a high variety of CT and X-ray imaging studies Radiologist is on-site Tuesday mornings only; all other readings are performed remotely, with after-hours and weekend studies sent out for preliminary reads and finalized by facility radiologists Radiation safety badge must be provided by the staffing agency, as the facility does not supply one Department orientation consists of 1 week (three 12-hour shifts) Schedule is managed by the unit manager No specific scrub color requirement Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to apply Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than a cumulative total of one year before a 2-year break is required Travel CT Technologist•CT Scan 4.
