The Director of Recreational Soccer is responsible for cultivating a love of the game, and also to provide an environment that creates positive culture and promotes coach and player development. The Director will be responsible for providing continuity for the overall soccer experience for players, coaches, and parents that is consistent with the club mission and vision. Cook Inlet Soccer Club (CISC) is seeking to hire a Director of Recreational Soccer to develop, operate and oversee the club's recreational programs. The Club has approximately 2,500 registrations annually in club programs with players ranging from U4 to U18.
Job Description:
Full time, salaried position with time split between the field and office Oversee all aspects of the recreational program, including but not limited to: Develop, operate, and oversee recreational club programs, including annual budget and tracking Maintain and grow the recreational program and ensure it remains sustainable Recruit, direct, organize and supervise recreational players, coaching staff and referees
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and execute the Recreation Program yearly schedule and timeline Work directly with the Director of Coaching to facilitate the transition of players from recreational programs to competitive programs Book facilities for the recreational program Manage inventory of equipment and player kits and place orders as needed Communicate with soccer community (parents, players, other clubs & organizations) Maintain and implement a written coaching syllabus for recreational programs. Conduct recreational camps Observe and evaluate sessions as appropriate, offering guidance where necessary. Provide support to coaches to improve player development. Conduct coach's meetings Provide a standardized written curriculum to progressively guide a player's progress from U4-U18 age groups. Lead player and coach recruitment for the recreational program Create marketing material and a plan for the recreational program and execute it Represent the club at functions, meetings, and events as directed by the executive director Recruit teams for tournaments and friendlies Submit reports and attend board meetings Pursue sponsorship opportunities and maintain current relationships Execute sponsorship agreements as they relate to the recreational program
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal/written communication and dispute resolution skills Demonstrates leadership qualities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrates ability to relate to and motivate youth and adults. Ability to develop and execute a long-term vision for a growing soccer club Committed to working a nontraditional work schedule. Successful completion of a background check Bachelor's Degree preferred Passion for soccer is a bonus Minimum USSF "D" license or ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire
Compensation:
Annual base compensation, depending on experience and qualifications Opportunities for commission-based revenue and performance bonuses Health, dental and vision insurance

The CISC mission is to provide the youth athlete with a positive soccer experience, which incorporates the teaching of proper skill development, team participation, and fun. Our coaches are expected to help build good character by; helping each player gain self-confidence, teach good sportsmanship, and to respect all those who participate in any soccer environment. CISC provides a full-service professional office staff and club trainers that are dedicated to serving its members. Many of the local high school and amateur teams are comprised of Cook Inlet Soccer Club players and many other players in the area have been developed in the club's grassroots and pre-competitive programs. Cook Inlet Soccer Club has promoted players to many colleges and universities in the western United States and has placed local players on the State and Regional Olympic Teams and even at the National Team Level.

Children participate in youth soccer for a variety of reasons, and it is our responsibility to offer programs that encourage, excite, and energize every player regardless of ability. CISC understands that the most important aspect of youth soccer is the opportunity to teach life lessons so all children can benefit from the values taught through teamwork, effort, responsibility, and commitment.
