As our Activities Coordinator, you'll help create meaningful experiences that keep our residents engaged, active, and connected. You'll have the opportunity to use your creativity to plan activities that encourage socialization, movement, lifelong learning, and fun, all while building genuine relationships with the incredible people who call Lake View Terrace home. What You'll Be Doing Every day is different, but your responsibilities may include: Planning and leading a monthly calendar full of engaging activities and events Organizing games, crafts, exercise classes, music, baking, gardening, holiday celebrations, themed parties, happy hours, and community outings Spending one-on-one time with residents who may prefer quieter activities Decorating the community for holidays, birthdays, and special events Working closely with families to learn residents' hobbies, interests, and life stories so activities are meaningful and personalized Coordinating volunteers, entertainers, local schools, churches, and community groups Helping celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and life milestones Taking photos and sharing the fun with families and our marketing team Collaborating with every department to create an exciting, welcoming environment for residents and visitors Ensuring activities meet the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of both our assisted living and memory care residents Maintaining activity supplies, staying within budget, and documenting participation as required We're Looking for Someone Who... Loves working with seniors and genuinely enjoys making others happy Has a positive attitude and brings energy into every room Is creative and enjoys coming up with new ideas Is dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple projects Can think on their feet and adapt when plans change Is comfortable speaking to small and large groups Works well independently while also being a great teammate Isn't afraid to sing, dance, dress up for themed events, or have a little fun! Experience Experience in activities, recreation, hospitality, education, childcare, customer service, event planning, or senior living is a plus—but not required. We can teach the skills. What we can't teach is a caring heart, compassion, enthusiasm, and a desire to make a difference.
