Job Description

We are Citrus Heights Respiratory and Rehab and we are looking for a compassionate and organized Activity Assistant to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through recreational therapy and social engagement. Schedule (FULL TIME) Sunday
  • Wednesday Wednesday
  • Saturday 8:30am
  • 4:30pm Duties Plan, organize, and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
Facilitate group activities and individual sessions that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during participation. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop activity schedules that align with residents' care plans. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in activities. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, addressing any aging issues or concerns they may have. Experience Previous experience in post acute, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Experience working with people with disabilities or in caregiving roles is a plus. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and their families. Background in social work or aging issues counseling will be considered an advantage. Ability to manage schedules effectively while being adaptable to changing needs within the facility.
