Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description JOB Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years related experience. Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures.
Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements:
Valid AZ Driver's License upon hire.
PREFERRED/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a municipal or government setting.

Master's Degree in Librarianship, Education, Communication, and any closely related field or equivalent of three (3) years related work experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Experience in posting to and excellent familiarity with social medial platforms, and design software (e.g. Adobe programs like Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva) desired.

Principles and practices for management of library division programs, and historic and cultural programsBilingual (English/Spanish)Tell me more…..The City of Peoria is looking to add an energetic and community-minded member to its team. The Arts, Culture and Library Coordinator position (under the Arts, Culture, and Library (ACL) Coordinator umbrella) will work to promote Arts, Special Events and Library Services throughout the city. The ideal candidate for this position will collaborate with city residents, visitors, Arts, Culture and Library Services (ACLS) staff, and various city departments to help bring the patron experience into the community. The programs administered by the ACL Coordinator will provide access to a wide variety of arts, culture, and library experiences (programs, exhibits, workshops, festivals, etc.) to the public.

As well as being a results-oriented people person, the successful candidate will also have: The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstancesA creative mindset, primed and ready to offer new and ever-expanding opportunities for visitors and residentsThe passion to serve the community and residents, offering a patron experience second to noneThe ideal candidate for this position will have: Excellent interpersonal skills, be strong in communicating at all levels, both orally and with the written wordHave strong computer skills, attention to detail and advanced customer service skillsExperience in initiating and executing programs, promotions and developing social media postings.

Department-specific duties may include (but are not limited to): Liaise with and create partnerships with various community groups, HOAs and businessesResearch of community needs, community trends and resident involvementSupport for library division and department programs, including other workshops, exhibits, festivals and events offered to the publicAbility to work evenings and weekends to support programming and eventsMonitoring of allocated budget, forecasting expenses and managing vendor contracts and paymentTo view the full job description, work environment and physical demands, click here.
