Aquatic Therapist/Administrative Support (Bilingual

  • Full-time We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly organized individual to join our team in a unique hybrid role that combines direct aquatic instruction and therapy services with administrative support.
This position is first and foremost an aquatic role. The ideal candidate must be comfortable teaching adaptive swim lessons, conducting aquatic therapy sessions, and leading aquatic workout and exercise programs for individuals with special needs. Administrative responsibilities will serve as a secondary component of the position and will be performed as needed to support daily operations and client services. About the
Role:
The primary responsibility of this position is providing high-quality aquatic services to individuals with both cognitive and physcial disabilities. Candidates must be comfortable working directly in the water with clients of varying ages, abilities, and support needs. Administrative and office duties are secondary responsibilities that help support the overall operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach adaptive swim lessons to individuals with special needs. Conduct aquatic therapy sessions under facility guidelines and protocols. Lead aquatic exercise and workout sessions for clients with varying abilities. Work directly with individuals who may have autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, sensory challenges, developmental disabilities, mobility limitations, or other special needs. Assist clients with water safety, swimming skills, strength development, endurance, coordination, and therapeutic goals. Create a safe, structured, positive, and supportive aquatic environment. Support participants both in and out of the water as needed. Maintain professionalism and strong communication with families and caregivers. Schedule client appointments, swim lessons, therapy sessions, and staff coverage. Answer phones and assist families with scheduling, questions, and program information. Maintain organized records and documentation. Assist with newsletters, communications, and administrative projects. Complete incident reports and required facility documentation. Provide general office support and customer service.
Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be bilingual (please specify languages when applying). Must be comfortable working in the water and teaching aquatic programs. Strong swimming skills and confidence in an aquatic environment. Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with autistic individuals and people with disabilities. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented.

Schedule Requirements:
This role requires flexibility and availability across all seven days of the week, including; days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Training Provided:
Training will be provided for administrative responsibilities, facility procedures, CPR certification, lifeguard certification, and program-specific protocols. However, candidates should have a genuine interest in and willingness to work directly with clients in the water as their primary responsibility.
