The ideal candidate will possess a passion for senior care, excellent communication skills, and experience in planning and executing activities tailored to individuals with diverse needs, including those with memory impairments or disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact by fostering social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being among residents. Duties Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities that promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and physical activity for residents. Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized activity plans that meet residents' unique interests and health requirements. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, grooming, and other personal care tasks when necessary. Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced program that accommodates residents' routines and preferences. Support residents in participating in community outings, special events, and therapeutic programs such as recreational therapy or dementia care initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and progress in activities. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and enhances residents' quality of life through creative programming. Skills Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior activity coordination within assisted living or nursing home settings. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, dementia care practices, and working with individuals with disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively engage residents and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to assist residents with ADLs while maintaining dignity and respect. Excellent schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities seamlessly. Familiarity with aging issues counseling, social work principles, and long-term care practices. Experience in home & community care environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
