Activities Aide (Part-Time) Gateway Post Acute -
Porterville, CA Pay Range:
$17.08 - $17.48/hour (BOE) Join Our Team! Gateway Post Acute is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activities Aide to join our team! If you enjoy working with seniors and want to make a meaningful impact by bringing joy and engagement to residents, we'd love to hear from you. General Purpose The Activities Aide assists the Activity Director in planning and implementing a creative and engaging activity program that meets the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each resident in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Essential Duties
  • Assist in planning and leading individual, small group, and large group activities
  • Support development and implementation of monthly activity calendars
  • Encourage resident participation in activities, hobbies, and social engagement
  • Provide in-room activities for residents who are unable to attend group programs
  • Assist with resident outings, transportation coordination, and special events
  • Maintain attendance records and assist with activity documentation
  • Participate in care planning, resident assessments, and discharge planning as needed
  • Assist with quarterly progress notes under direction of Activity Director
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity environment
  • Support Quality Assurance initiatives as directed Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in long-term care or activities preferred
Skills & Abilities:
  • Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with residents, families, and team members
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
