You will be developing activities, managing activities staff, and coordinating vendors to enhance the joy, laughter, and quality of life of our Gordon Manor residents.
Activity Director responsibilities:
Develop activities for the current population in coordination with the care plan Manage Activities Staff Communicate with Departments & Families Find and Coordinate Vendors Volunteers Coordinating Organize and publish activities calendar Contribute to Newsletter Plan and execute special events for residents and staff Traits of an

Can coordinate many people and departments in executing an event. Define the purpose and goal of the event, outline the requirements and needs, set up a timeline, acquire the supplies and equipment, recruit and coordinate the staffing, develop the communication strategy, P/R, publicity, etc.
Pay range:
Salary based on $35.00 per hour depending on experience
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year prior experience leading activities for the elderly Knowledge or experience working with dementia residents Must be at least 18 years of age Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 24 hour Activity Leader certification (Assisted Living) Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Strong communication skills to effectively interact with supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and families. Understand the importance of quality care for the elderly Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests Gordon Manor regulatory guidelines require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, and wear face masks/coverings to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
