Duties Develop and implement diverse activity programs that cater to residents' physical, emotional, and social needs, including memory care and Alzheimer's support. Lead engaging group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and outings that promote community involvement. Assist residents with daily activities (ADLs), including mobility, dressing, and personal care, ensuring comfort and dignity. Coordinate with nursing staff and caregivers to tailor activities for residents with specific health conditions or cognitive impairments. Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely execution of planned events while accommodating individual preferences. Foster a positive atmosphere by encouraging participation, social interaction, and emotional expression among residents. Maintain accurate records of activities conducted, resident participation, and progress notes for documentation purposes. Requirements Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments. Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, memory care strategies, and aging issues counseling. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, and team members. Ability to assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with patience and respect. CPR certified Excellent schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities throughout each day. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life through meaningful engagement. Days/Hours Monday to Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm Ready to start Tuesday May 26th Flexibility to adapt activities based on residents' changing needs and health conditions.
