Apply to become a Directors/Assistant Director at Fitness by the Sea Beach Camp (FBS) located in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades The experience of working at our beach camp is like no other; at FBS we do it all! On any given day, our staff members are involved in a wide variety of activities, including (but not limited to): team sports, dance, swimming, gymnastics, crafts, puppet shows, and so much more! Working at one of our camp locations means that you will combine interacting with counselors and campers, being outside on our beautiful beaches, using your creativity and imagination on a daily basis! Of course summer camp is more than just great fun; it's a lot of work! We hire those with the same values that we embody in our camp each day. ALL STAFF MUST BE

• At least 18 years of age
• Dependable and have a great work ethic-energetic and enthusiastic
• Responsible and flexible to an unpredictable day
• Physically capable of working outside in direct sunlight for 8 hours/day
• Previous experience in a camp setting (as a director/assistant director, counselor, camper) preferred The following are the supplementary requirements, specific to each open staff position:

Directors/Assistant Directors:

Director ($22.00

00, DOE) The Directors and Assistant Directors work together to supervise and oversee the entire camp location on a daily basis. They work closely with company administrators, staff members, and parents to organize and manage the counselors and campers throughout the day. These are management positions; direct interaction with campers is significantly less than that of a counselor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience managing a minimum of 5 employees
• Experience working directly with children in either an educational or recreational setting
• Organized and reliable
• Ability to conduct business in a professional manner
• Previous camp management experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in outdoor settings for 100% of the day in direct sunlight and be able to tolerate warm weather conditions. This job requires a tremendous amount of physical exertion every day. While physical requirements may vary by job position, most positions require the ability to stand for long time periods, see, hear, walk, run, swim and be able to complete other fast paced activities with or without reasonable accommodation.
