Setting:

inpatient healthcare-level care environment Assignment support provided by the employer Responsibilities Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities or injuries, or mental illnesses. Provide treatment services using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings. Assess client needs and progress; collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; adjust programs to meet goals. Document treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes; monitor safety and adapt activities to address risk. Facilitate group and individual sessions; coordinate referrals to community resources and supports as appropriate. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification preferred or eligible for certification. Eligible for California-based licensure or credentialing as a Recreational Therapist, as applicable. Ability to work in an inpatient care setting and operate within a day-shift schedule. Strong interpersonal, observational, and documentation skills; ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
