We are looking for an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activities Director to lead a dynamic recreation program that keeps our residents engaged, connected, and excited about each day. What You'll Do As the Activities Director, you'll lead and oversee all aspects of our Activities Department while creating engaging programs that support residents' physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive well-being.
Responsibilities include:
Planning, organizing, and leading a comprehensive activities program Developing meaningful individual and group activities for residents of varying abilities Coordinating special events, celebrations, outings, and community partnerships Supervising and developing activities staff and volunteers Completing resident activity assessments and care planning Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations Managing the department budget and activity supplies Working closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members Encouraging resident participation and engagement Creating innovative programs that enhance resident quality of life Supporting resident council and resident choice initiatives Promoting a vibrant, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere throughout the facility What Makes This Role Exciting? You'll have the opportunity to: Create experiences residents genuinely look forward to Lead exciting facility events, holiday celebrations, and community outings Build meaningful relationships with residents and families Bring creativity and fresh ideas to an established program Collaborate with a supportive leadership team that values innovation Make a direct impact on resident happiness, engagement, and overall well-being Help create a culture where residents feel valued, connected, and fulfilled Whether it's organizing a themed party, coordinating a community event, planning an outdoor adventure, or creating a new resident program, you'll play a key role in making our Community feel like home. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Experience in Activities, Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Services, Healthcare, Senior Living, or a related field Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple events and programs Passion for resident engagement and quality of life Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, and community partners Preferred Qualifications Qualified Activity Professional certification or eligibility Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience Supervisory or management experience Experience with activity assessments and care planning Experience leading large events and community programs Creative problem-solving and program development skills Why Us?
