We're seeking an energetic, people-focused professional to lead the social and cultural experience for our vibrant Miami campus community. As Activities Coordinator, you'll create memorable experiences by planning, organizing, and leading engaging on-campus events, cultural programs, and excursions throughout Miami. From student socials and community-building activities to city outings and cultural experiences, you'll play a key role in fostering connection, engagement, and an unforgettable student experience. You'll work closely with students each day, providing outstanding support and helping them make the most of their time in Miami through exciting activities, events, and cultural exchange opportunities. The Activities Coordinator reports directly to the Activities Manager.
Hourly Rate:
$17 USD/hour This position may require up to 40 hours per week, depending on operational needs and seasonal demand. We are looking to fill this position with an immediate start preferred. Join our team in creating an exceptional student experience through exciting events, cultural programming, and community engagement on our dynamic Miami campus. In this role, you'll help bring campus life to life by supporting the planning, promotion, and execution of a year-round calendar of activities designed to connect, inspire, and engage our international student community.Key responsibilities include:
Support the coordination and delivery of a diverse calendar of on- and off-campus experiences, including social events, cultural activities, excursions, seasonal celebrations, and large-scale campus programs. Help create memorable student experiences while ensuring activities are organized, engaging, and well-executed from start to finish. Assist with transportation logistics, staff coordination, and safety procedures, ensuring all activities align with company risk-management standards and student wellbeing priorities. Play an active role in campus-wide events such as student arrivals, orientations, graduations, and special group programs. Support staff engagement initiatives, team events, and familiarization (FAM) trips. Contribute creative, event-focused content for the school's social media channels to help promote campus life and student engagement. Work collaboratively with a fast-paced, energetic team while also taking initiative and ownership of projects when needed. Build positive relationships with students from around the world by fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment. Supervise and guide students during activities and excursions, ensuring safety while creating fun, positive, and memorable experiences. Serve as a key point of contact during activities, responding professionally to student questions, concerns, and unexpected situations. Assist with activity scheduling, registrations, attendance tracking, and reporting to support smooth day-to-day operations. Help promote activities through social media, student outreach, campus communication channels, and in-person engagement. Communicate regularly with management regarding event success, student feedback, and operational updates. Participate in trainings, team meetings, and on-call support rotations as needed. Remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented when responding to emergencies or urgent student situations. Support and occasionally travel with student groups on domestic and international excursions, including trips to the Bahamas, assisting with tour operations, logistics, student support, and ensuring a safe, positive, and well-organized experience throughout the program. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, outgoing, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences for students in an international environment. Flexibility is important, as the position may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons.What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, event management, education, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in related field. Cool under pressure—able to lead in emergencies, resolve conflicts, and adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment. Positive and energetic—a natural hype person and a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys engaging with people from different backgrounds and isn't afraid to be playful or go 'all in' to keep students engaged. Creative and communicative—skilled at generating new ideas and connecting with students of varied English levels. Legal right to work in the United States (EF does not provide sponsorship).
