Job Description

Position:
Life Enrichment Director Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee engaging Life Enrichment programs tailored to resident needs and interests Plan daily activities, special events, outings, and publish monthly calendars Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident engagement and quality of life Manage department budget, supplies, and outside services Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and participate in surveys/inspections Lead, schedule, and supervise Life Enrichment staff and volunteers Complete activity assessments, care plans, and documentation within required timeframes Participate in care conferences, resident council meetings, and quality assurance initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Recreation Management, or related field (preferred) Meets state and federal requirements for activity programming roles One of the following: Certified/eligible Therapeutic Recreation Specialist 2+ years of activity program management in a healthcare setting Licensed Occupational Therapist or OTA Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Core Skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Strong interpersonal skills with residents, families, and team members Experience working with seniors or individuals with medical or cognitive needs Work Environment & Physical Requirements Combination of desk work and active engagement throughout the community Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 30 lbs, and assist with activities/events Exposure to typical healthcare environment conditions Additional Requirements Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
