  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Activities Coordinator to enhance the quality of life for residents in our senior living community.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for engaging older adults through meaningful recreational activities, with experience in program development and senior care. As an Activities Coordinator, you will design, organize, and facilitate diverse programs that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive environment for all residents. Responsibilities Implement engaging activity programs tailored to the interests and needs of residents, including those with dementia or memory care requirements. Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure activities are accessible for individuals with disabilities. Foster a positive community atmosphere by encouraging resident participation and promoting social engagement. Maintain accurate records of resident participation, preferences, and progress related to activity programs. Stay informed about best practices in geriatrics, dementia care, and aging issues to continuously improve program offerings. Requirements Strong understanding of senior care principles, including caregiving techniques and working with geriatric patients. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with home and community care environments is preferred; assisted living or nursing home experience is highly desirable.
