Responsibilities Talbott Recover Center Boxing Therapist Talbott Recovery is currently looking for a PRN Therapist. At Talbott Recovery we focus on patient-centered care and a personal individualized approach, upholding a high standard of innovative treatment and compassionate attention to each individual patient's needs. Our integrated program addresses the needs of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Our system of care is personalized and w e are committed to providing and promoting evidence-based treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders through clinical services, education, and research. Team Collaboration Watching the patient growth and development Beautiful modern Campus Highly talented Clinical Team Diverse Clientele Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and lead individual and group boxing therapy sessions in accordance with program goals and participant needs Teach proper boxing fundamentals, footwork, pad work, bag work, and controlled movement techniques with a focus on safety Use boxing‑based activities to support skills such as stress release, emotional expression, discipline, focus, and self‑confidence Create a structured, supportive, and emotionally safe environment for all participants Clearly communicate session expectations, safety guidelines, and physical limitations prior to participation Monitor participant engagement, form, and safety during sessions and modify activities as needed Encourage healthy coping strategies, body awareness, and positive self‑expression through movement Collaborate with wellness staff, trainers, counselors, or clinical professionals as appropriate to support participant goals Maintain accurate session records, progress notes, and attendance documentation as required Clean, organize, and maintain boxing equipment and training space Uphold ethical standards, professional boundaries, and organizational policies at all times Preferred Qualifications Certification or formal training in boxing instruction, fitness coaching, or therapeutic movement programs Demonstrated experience teaching boxing or boxing‑based fitness in individual or group settings Strong understanding of safety practices, proper technique, and injury prevention Excellent interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills Ability to work with diverse populations and varying fitness levels Experience working in behavioral health, youth services, trauma‑informed programs, or wellness environments Training in trauma‑informed care, mindfulness, or emotional regulation techniques Background in personal training, kinesiology, or exercise science CPR/AED and First Aid certification Experience collaborating with licensed clinicians or wellness professionals Scope of Practice Statement This position provides boxing‑based wellness and skills‑development services only . The Boxing Therapy Coach does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or mental health conditions and does not provide psychotherapy. Participants are encouraged to seek licensed healthcare providers for medical or clinical concerns.
