Program Design & Activity Calendar Management Create, print, and distribute a diverse monthly activities calendar that addresses he physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of all residents. Design specific, structured life enrichment programs for the Memory Care unit that cater to varying stages of dementia and cognitive decline. Organize and lead daily group activities, including but not limited to arts and crafts, music therapy, low-impact physical exercise, trivia, baking, and spiritual services. 2. Event Planning & Community Integration Plan and coordinate large-scale facility events, holiday celebrations, and themed social gatherings for residents, staff, and family members. Coordinate external entertainment, guest speakers, and volunteer groups to enrich the community's social environment. Arrange and supervise safe community outings, coordinates facility transportation logistics, and manages associated vendor or venue reservations. 3.
Required Qualifications & Core Competencies Professional Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience planning and executing activities in a geriatric care setting, long-term care facility, or memory care environment is highly preferred.
Creativity & Energy:
A high level of enthusiasm, creativity, and structural organization, with the proven ability to capture and maintain a group's attention.
Interpersonal Approach:
Exceptional verbal communication skills and a deeply respectful, patient, and compassionate attitude toward elderly individuals experiencing cognitive or physical challenges.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer proficiency (such as Microsoft Office, Publisher, or Canva) required to design professional monthly calendars, newsletters, and event flyers.
Professional Boundaries:
Ability to maintain firm, compassionate, and strictly professional relationships with residents, recognizing the distinction between supportive care boundaries and personal friendships.
