Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Director to lead and coordinate engaging programs for residents in our Memory Care community. The ideal candidate will develop meaningful activities that support cognitive stimulation, social engagement, physical wellness, and emotional well-being for individuals living with dementia and other memory-related conditions. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs tailored to memory care residents. Lead group and one-on-one activities that promote engagement, purpose, and quality of life. Coordinate special events, celebrations, outings, and family involvement opportunities. Assess resident interests, abilities, and needs to develop individualized activity plans. Maintain activity calendars and documentation as required by community policies and regulations. Collaborate with nursing, caregiving, and leadership teams to support resident-centered care. Recruit and coordinate volunteers, entertainers, and community partners. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed. Ensure activity supplies and equipment are organized and available. Qualifications High school diploma Previous experience in senior living, memory care, assisted living, healthcare, or recreation programming preferred. Knowledge of dementia care best practices and person-centered programming. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
