Full Time Shift:
830am to 5pm We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Director to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in our facility. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' quality of life by designing and implementing diverse recreational programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and lead a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities
  • Assess residents' needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure activities support residents' overall well-being
  • Maintain activity schedules, records, and documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulations
  • Organize special events and celebrations to enhance community engagement
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to maximize participation and enjoyment
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in activity planning, preferably in a long-term care or senior living setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging diverse populations
  • Ability to assess residents' needs and adapt activities accordingly
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to recreational activities
  • Certification in activity coordination is required
