GED Full Job Description Activity Director Job Summary:
As an Activity Director at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Our Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities, programs, and events that promote socialization, mental and physical well-being, and overall quality of life. If you're passionate about providing exceptional care and creating memorable experiences for seniors, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement activity programs that meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including arts and crafts, exercise classes, games, and entertainment events Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to identify and address the social, emotional, and physical needs of our residents Plan and execute themed parties, outings, and special events to enhance the overall resident experience Maintain accurate records of activity participation, scheduling, and resident feedback Recruit and supervise activity volunteers and assistants as needed Develop and manage the activity budget to ensure effective use of resources Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve our services Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in rehabilitation, recreational therapy, or a related field preferred Minimum 0 years of experience in activity direction, recreational therapy, or a related field Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
