Ability to engage, empower, celebrate, and create positive experiences for students Ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and visitors Experience using data to develop priorities and action planning Experience with organizing, planning, and execution of events B.A. Required /M.A. Preferred School or activities leadership experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills
OVERALL JOB DUTIES
: Student engagement through clubs, activities, and experiences. Supervise students in the Student Success Center.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for programming in and the daily operations of the Student Success Center Support the operation of student clubs and organizations and their respective sponsors Support and supervise after school extracurricular activities in the Student Success Center Coordinate the Senior Assembly and Prom Fashion Show Coordinate school-wide Pep Assemblies Coordinate and host Student Activities Fair Co-host the annual Incoming Freshmen Sports & Activities Fair Promote extracurricular participation in middle schools Support the Yearbook Advisor, responsible for sales and distribution of the yearbook Coordinate student, staff, and extracurricular activity yearbook photos and re-takes Coordinate Prom & Post-Prom activities Coordinate Spirit Weeks, Class Shirt Sales, and School Dances Support Social Consciousness Series Student Summits Participate in and presents at Freshmen Orientation, Incoming Freshman Information Night, Prep to ETHS summer school class, New Staff Orientation, Booster Club Meetings, Transfer Group, Transfer Student Lunch, etc. Maintain department social media accounts Create and deliver daily PA announcements and weekly video announcements Manage the operating budget for the Student Activities Department, the Student Success Center, and extracurricular activities accounts Host various competitions and events for IHSA activities Coordinate Staff Appreciation Week Coordinate Staff Institute Days Host the Sponsor Luncheon Host the Sponsor Appreciation breakfast Hire & onboard new staff and activity sponsors Host Mayor's Youth Empowerment Day Coordinate "Happy Friday" greetings Support class activities & events Support National Honor Society & Frosh/Soph Honor Societies Coach, support, and evaluate staff and activity sponsors Serve on Culture & Climate Committee Lead Institute Days Planning Committee Serve on the following committees/teams: Building Leadership Team, Aesthetics and Messaging Committee, Facilities Management Team, Stipend Review Committee, and Calendar Planning Committee Other duties as assigned
