This role is ideal for someone passionate about enhancing quality of life through meaningful activities and social engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive life enrichment program tailored to residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs Coordinate daily activities including group events, one-on-one programs, outings, and special events Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for activity programming in a skilled nursing facility Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident engagement and care plans Maintain activity calendars, documentation, and resident participation records
Qualifications:
Previous experience in activities/life enrichment in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required Activity Director Certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Passion for working with seniors and improving their quality of life Knowledge of dementia programming and person-centered care is a plus
