Title:
Northfield Campus Student Activities Coordinator Assignment:
School year; two class concessions (two fifth release), Beginning in the 2027-2028 school year; the selected candidate will be hired in advance to shadow the current coordinator during 2026-2027 (no stipend or release time)

The Northfield Campus Student Activities Coordinator is responsible for the long-term vision and daily management of the campus student activities program. The Student Activities Coordinator is also responsible for establishing school spirit and community on campus.
Qualifications:
Master's/advanced degree Illinois State Board of Education administrative licensure preferred. Expertise regarding student activities programs. Excellent human relations, communication, and organizational skills Experience organizing large scale projects/events. Demonstration of leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Campus and District Promote community, connection, and belonging at the Northfield Campus for students and staff Coordinates all activities related to student clubs on the Northfield Campus. Develops school-wide education on district initiatives such as New Trier 2030, Characteristics of a New Trier Graduate, Pathways, and Be Brave, Be Strong, Be Kind, Develops, organizes and leads all spirit week activities on the Northfield Campus. Collaborate with the Graduating Class Team and Adviser Program to coordinate service projects on the Northfield Campus. Supervises student cafeteria, organizes and manages all activities that occur in the cafeteria and courtyards, including supervision of recycling room, access to lost and found, and liaison with Quest food service Coordinates morning announcements over public address system. Represents the activities program as a member of the Northfield Leadership Team and Expanded Leadership Team. Program Provides leadership and long-term vision for the student activities program. Manages the student activities budget and oversees club accounts, fundraising, and activities-related fees. Oversees club applications, procedures, and guidelines; and ensures compliance with all Board policies and guidelines. Promotes and develops new activity opportunities. Meets weekly with the Student Activities Coordinator, Winnetka Campus to provide a unified and consistent district activities program. Collect club rosters from all Northfield clubs for participation data, yearbook listings, and maintenance of club minimums Create and publish documentation to support students and staff understanding of the program (e.g. Scale V Framework for Club Sponsors, Understanding Extracurricular Participation for College Admissions) Promote connections with other school's student activities programs and recognize exemplary sponsors through IDSA and conventions such as CADA. Implement all relevant IHSA and ISBE regulations Maintain the Student Activities Canvas page, New Trier Club Finder, and Student Activities social media accounts Sponsor Supervises and evaluates activity sponsors on the Northfield Campus. Coordinates the hiring process for sponsors on the Northfield Campus. Work with Student Activities Coordinator, Winnetka Campus, to complete sponsor and stipend review meetings for clubs at both campuses as part of the Quadrennial process. Create and distribute weekly club sponsor updates Plan and co-lead all sponsor meeting in August and Vector training makeup Update Sponsor Resource Site Oversee Sponsor Advisory Committee and Sponsor Mentor program Student Coordinates freshmen induction to extracurricular opportunities via activities fairs and assemblies. Runs and supervises the After the Academics fair for incoming 9 th graders. Coordinates student assemblies and special school projects or events, including, but not limited to, pep rallies, dances, and NUSH. Upholds and applies Extracurricular Code, Attendance Policy, and Academic Eligibility Facilitate, review and approve all new club proposals for the Northfield Campus Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
