ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Director of Activities and Memory Care you will lead Activity and Memory Care services across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Dementia Care . This position serves as the community's dementia expert , working collaboratively with the Director of Resident Care Services to ensure appropriate levels of care, regulatory compliance, and high resident and family satisfaction. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and elevate activities and memory care programming across all levels of senior living Serve as the community's subject-matter expert in dementia care, supporting admissions and care level decisions Conduct comprehensive resident assessments, quarterly reviews, and ongoing quality assurance Design and deliver purposeful programming aligned with residents' abilities, histories, and preferences Ensure consistent regulatory compliance and program quality Develop and deliver dementia education and ongoing team training Oversee resident transportation operations with a focus on safety, reliability, and service excellence Build trusted partnerships withresidents and families while working collaboratively with other departments Maintain high standards for family communication, satisfaction, and engagement Lead community-wide events and special programs Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning and culture-building Provide on-call leadership support for activities and memory care services Conducts interviewing and hiring, evaluates employee performance, provides coaching and employee training, and delegates assignments for all direct reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology or related field Two (2) years hands-on experience working directly with the elderly or individuals with disabilities Minimum 2 years progressive managerial experience in a comparable residential setting Confident and effective use of workplace technology and relevant software systems Demonstrates exceptional organizational, communication, and hospitality skills Ability to work flexible schedules in 24 hour operation including weekends as needed Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications. COMPENSATION
The base salary range for this position is $68,000-$72,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for an earned bonus of up to 20% of the base salary in accordance with company incentive plans.
