Job Description

Assistant Activities Director Grace Village Retirement & Healthcare Facility Winona Lake, IN Grace Village Retirement & Healthcare Facility is seeking a compassionate and organized Assistant Activities Director to support the planning and delivery of engaging life enrichment programs for residents in our healthcare and assisted living communities. This role works closely with the Activities Director to enhance residents' quality of life through meaningful activities that support physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs
  • Support the development of individual and group activities tailored to residents' abilities and interests
  • Help coordinate special events, outings, and seasonal programs
  • Engage directly with residents to encourage participation and build positive relationships
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, social services, dietary, and pastoral care
  • Assist with required documentation, activity records, and care plan input
  • Support supervision of activities staff and volunteers, including scheduling as assigned
  • Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and organization of program spaces
  • Ensure programs meet state and federal guidelines under the direction of the Activities Director
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for all residents Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in activities programming, healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
  • Basic knowledge of resident activity regulations helpful
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine passion for working with older adults
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
