Job Description

Activities Director Join Horizon Post Acute, a leading provider of post-acute care, as an Activities Director in Wichita, KS! We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to lead our activity program, providing engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents. About the
Role:
As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive program of activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs and interests of our residents. You will work closely with our care team to develop individualized plans of care, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care and support.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver activity and recreational programming to promote normal life engagement for our residents Complete assessments and care plans, and participate in care conferences to ensure the best possible care for our residents Conduct admissions interviews, document activity pursuits, and write care plans Develop and post a monthly calendar of available activities Identify and document resident preferences, current pursuits, and health issues affecting activity participation Implement strategies to increase resident involvement in activities, while considering functional or situational limitations Plan community activities and events that involve staff, families, and residents Maintain physician approval and precautions/limitations lists for each resident Provide opportunities and support for resident participation in leisure pursuits, including arts, community outings, and more!
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience working in a facility Accreditation as a Certified Activity Director, or completion of a state-approved Activity Director training course One year of experience as an Activity Director in long-term care Currently licensed as a
