Why you'll love working here meaningful work that enhances residents' quality of life collaborative, resident-focused team environment opportunity to build lasting relationships with residents and families stable nonprofit organization with a long-standing reputation for excellence educational and professional development opportunities comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage 403(b) retirement plan paid time off What you'll do plan, develop and lead engaging recreational, educational and social programs for Assisted Living residents facilitate one-on-one, small group and large group activities that promote wellness, independence and social connection develop and maintain a monthly calendar of events designed to meet residents' interests and abilities coordinate entertainers, volunteers and community partners to enhance programming transport residents to off-campus outings and community events as needed prepare activity areas, supplies and equipment before programs and ensure spaces are clean and organized afterward document resident participation and evaluate program effectiveness collaborate with dining and other departments to support successful resident events create newsletters, bulletin boards, displays and other communication materials that promote resident engagement build meaningful relationships with residents while creating an environment that is welcoming, engaging and fun What you'll bring high school diploma or GED 1 to 2 years of experience in long-term care, Assisted Living, senior living or recreation programming preferred Activity Director Certification preferred but not required creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for enriching the lives of older adults excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to organize multiple events and priorities while maintaining attention to detail valid driver's license preferred for resident transportation and community outings ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed for activity setup and resident outings commitment to providing exceptional resident experiences About Masonic Homes Kentucky Masonic Homes Kentucky is a trusted leader in senior living and health services, providing compassionate care and innovative programs that enrich the lives of older adults.
