• Full-time Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Memory Care Programming Coordinator to lead engaging, meaningful activities tailored to individuals with memory impairments, including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

In this vital role, you will design, implement, and oversee a variety of therapeutic and recreational programs that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, and overall well-being for residents in assisted living or long-term care settings. Your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a vibrant community environment where residents feel valued, supported, and empowered to enjoy each day to the fullest. Duties Develop and coordinate diverse memory care programs that align with residents' cognitive abilities and personal interests, ensuring activities are stimulating and inclusive. Plan and execute engaging events such as arts and crafts, music therapy, reminiscence sessions, and social outings that encourage participation and enhance quality of life. Collaborate with caregiving staff, nurses, social workers, and family members to tailor activities that meet individual needs and support care plans. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during programming sessions, fostering independence while providing necessary support. Manage scheduling of programs to ensure consistent delivery of activities throughout the week while accommodating residents' routines. Monitor residents' responses to activities, document progress, and adjust programming strategies to maximize engagement and therapeutic benefits. Provide guidance on aging issues counseling related to memory loss, behavioral challenges, and emotional well-being for residents and their families. Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or nursing homes, especially in memory care or senior care environments. Strong background in recreational therapy, dementia care, or Alzheimer's care with a focus on enhancing quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of assisting residents with ADLs such as grooming, dressing, mobility support, and medication reminders. Ability to manage schedules efficiently while balancing multiple programming responsibilities. Familiarity with home & community care practices along with aging issues counseling techniques is a plus.
