Weekend Group Therapist(Licensure Required)

Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health is seeking Weekend Group Therapists to join our inpatient psychiatric hospital team! This role is specifically for therapists who can work either every Saturday or every Sunday, providing structured and therapeutic group sessions for our patients.

Position Overview :

As a Group Therapist, you will be responsible for facilitating therapy groups designed to support the treatment and recovery of patients with mental health and/or substance use disorders. You will collaborate with nursing staff and the treatment team to ensure group interventions align with individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities :

Facilitate therapy groups that promote emotional regulation, coping skills, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and overall mental wellness. Conduct groups based on patient needs, utilizing evidence-based interventions to encourage meaningful participation and therapeutic progress. Complete necessary documentation, including group notes and any relevant progress updates. Formulate short-term treatment goals and interventions based on patients' therapeutic needs and in alignment with long-term recovery objectives. Observe and document any changes in a patient's condition, mood, affect, or behavior during group sessions, reporting any significant concerns to the treatment team. Assist in individual interventions as needed to help patients recognize and manage symptoms that impact their stability and recovery.

Schedule & Availability :

Part-time role focused exclusively on weekend group facilitation. Candidates must be available to work either every Saturday or every Sunday. (or both!) Flexible shift times available This position is ideal for a therapist seeking part-time work with a focus on running therapy groups in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
