- Rest Home Services Position Summary The Director of Life Enrichment is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive life enrichment program that supports the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, cultural, and spiritual well-being of our residents.
- Develop and oversee a robust calendar of life enrichment programs, events, outings, and activities.
- Assess resident interests, abilities, and preferences to create meaningful and individualized programming.
- Coordinate entertainment, educational opportunities, wellness initiatives, volunteer programs, and special events.
- Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, faith communities, and volunteers.
- Encourage resident and family participation in community life.
- Supervise, train, and support life enrichment staff and volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and quality-of-life goals.
- Manage department budgets, supplies, and resources effectively.
- Promote a culture of engagement, inclusion, and person-centered care throughout the community. Qualifications
- Experience in leading life enrichment, recreation, activities, therapeutic recreation, or resident engagement programs in senior living, skilled nursing, healthcare, or a related setting.
- A passion for enhancing the lives of older adults through meaningful programming.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
- Experience supervising staff and volunteers is preferred.
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold this certification will have the opportunity to obtain it, with organizational support provided.
- Activity Director Certification (ADC), Activity Consultant Certification (ACC), or eligibility to obtain certification is preferred. What We Offer
