Opportunity overview:
We are seeking an energetic and engaging Activities Director to lead and coordinate a vibrant program of recreational, social, and educational activities for our active adult community residents. This role is vital in fostering a lively, inclusive environment that promotes resident well-being and community spirit. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with excellent communication skills, and organization skills, capable of inspiring participation and creating memorable experiences for residents in our active adult community. Duties include but are not limited to: Plan, organize, and execute a diverse calendar of activities that cater to the interests and needs of residents Lead engaging events such as social gatherings, educational workshops, pickle ball, golfing, fitness/yoga classes, and celebrations Book and schedule local trips and community outings Foster strong relationships with residents through personalized outreach and excellent customer service Manage activity budgets, supplies, and resources efficiently to ensure smooth event execution Collaborate with staff, vendors, and community partners to enhance program offerings Promote activities through various channels including social media, newsletters, and community boards Provide leadership to volunteers or activity assistants to support event planning and implementation
Requirements:
Experience in activity planning , preferably in active adult setting Valid US Drivers License Capable of passing a criminal background investigation Capable of passing drug screening Self transport to and from work Fluent communication skills Ability to lift 25+ lbs on a daily basis Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
Preferences:
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others Excellent public speaking and communication skills to engage a diverse audience Experience in teaching or facilitating group activities is preferred Exceptional customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Join us as an Activities Director and become a vital part of creating a lively, connected community where residents feel valued and engaged.
