Benefits $50,000 - $60,000 / Salary (commensurate with experience) 80 hours of vacation, 40 hours of sick (accrual based) 6 Personal Days 7 Paid Major Holidays Carefirst Medical Package HRA Fund Tuition Assistance 401 K - 50% Match FSA EAP Duties and Responsibilities Promote participation during each event Provide an activities program tailored to the needs of the residents Create and Plan a diverse activities program and calendar (weekly/Monthly) Perform assessments and documentation to ascertain physical, cognitive and emotional abilities and determine residents' interests and expectations regarding leisure time Attend to administrative concerns Collaborate and Consult with staff Train, manage, monitor and provide useful resources for assistants Purchasing activates supplies and document in budget Advertise events so residents and staff can attend/participate Compile periodic reports Seek vendors for outside entertainment bookings Requirements Activity Director Certification or CTRS 2+ Years of experience with the elderly population and activities Must possess patience, compassion and excellent communication skills and a cheerful disposition Committed to fostering well-being and fun Willingness to avail yourself for occasional weekend work (Manager on Duty rotation) Appropriate training and/or certification is encouraged (certification can be acquired through the company-application will be required) Point Click Care experience Lorien Elkridge is rated one of the best Nursing Homes in U.S. News and the Baltimore Sun.
