Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Activities Director to lead our vibrant activities program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors, a knack for planning and organizing events, and the ability to foster a sense of community and well-being among our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents. Coordinate and oversee a variety of activities. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and engagement. Collaborate with other staff members, volunteers, and community partners to enhance the activities program. Manage the activities budget, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution. Promote activities through various channels including newsletters, social media, and facility bulletin boards. Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in activities planning, preferably in a senior living or similar environment. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creativity and the ability to motivate and inspire others. CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
