We're seeking a passionate Recreation Director (Activities Director) to lead a dynamic, resident-centered life enrichment program at Lorien Taneytown . What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Plan and execute a creative monthly and weekly activities calendar for senior residents Lead engaging programs that promote socialization, wellness, and quality of life Conduct resident assessments to identify interests, abilities, and goals Create tailored experiences based on physical, cognitive, and emotional needs Encourage participation and build a fun, inclusive community atmosphere Coordinate entertainers, outings, and third-party vendors Lead, coach, and support activities staff and assistants Partner with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident experience Manage budget, purchasing, and activity supply inventory Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance standards Promote and advertise events to residents, families, and staff ✅ What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in Activities, Recreation, or Life Enrichment (senior living preferred) Passion for working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences Energetic, positive personality with strong leadership ability Excellent communication and organizational skills Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented mindset Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends for events Activities Director Certification (ADC) preferred or willingness to obtain (company-supported) Benefits & Perks Competitive pay based on experience $48,000
