What you'll do: Develop and implement engaging activity programs that cater to diverse interests, abilities, and cognitive levels of residents Coordinate special events and recreational therapy sessions to promote socialization and mental stimulation Assist residents with participation in activities, ensuring safety and encouragement throughout each session Collaborate with caregiving staff to integrate activities into individual care plans and support residents' personal goals Manage activity supplies, equipment, and scheduling to ensure smooth operation of daily programs Foster a warm, inclusive environment by encouraging resident involvement and facilitating meaningful interactions Document participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness Requirements Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and senior care best practices Background in caregiving or long-term care with familiarity in home & community care environments Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members. Excellent schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities seamlessly Compassionate approach with understanding of aging issues counseling and social work principles Prior experience working with people with disabilities or in recreational therapy is highly desirable
