Saint Paul, MN Job Details Seasonal $20 - $22 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Cultural competency Working with youth Full Job Description Position Description Interfaith Action's Project Home program is seeking a Summer Activities Coordinator (June - August) to organize and implement educational and fun programming for children and families receiving emergency shelter and stabilizing services. Responsibilities Plan and implement activities and events for youth/families, including field trips, sports, arts, crafts, music, etc. Manage budget for activities and events. Develop activity schedules/calendars to promote participation. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for event needs. Perform risk assessments and ensure all activities occur in a safe and caring environment. Ensure adequate supervision of children by staff, volunteers, and parents/guardians. Supervise and train volunteers. Maintain records and reports related to activity participation. Evaluate the success of activities and gather feedback for improvements. Collaborate with other departments to maximize resources. Source and manage supplies and equipment for activities. Investigate and address problems that arise and facilitate conflict resolution. Document and report all significant problems or incidents. Report safety issues immediately. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality with participants, colleagues, and volunteers. Assist with other program responsibilities including meals/snacks, paperwork, discipline, communication and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Able to work a regular schedule, Monday through Friday. Experience working with young people of all ages. Possess an acceptance and respect for cultural and faith diversity. Demonstrated team player, with excellent time management and organizational skills. Honest, dependable, and professional; experience maintaining boundaries. Able to exercise patience, understanding, creativity, and fairness; manage stress constructively. Ability to lift 40 lbs. and climb stairs regularly. Preferred Qualifications English proficiency and conversational Spanish. Current CPR/First Aid certifications. Valid standard driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive passenger van.
