Activities Director:
As an Activities Director you can expect each day to be filled with joy and excitement. Your role will involve planning and implementing daily activities for our residents, ensuring they have a fantastic time. You'll collaborate with the team to create engaging programs that cater to different interests and abilities. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends to ensure our residents have fun all week long. Get ready for a dynamic and fulfilling role where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference in the lives of our seniors! What matters most To excel as our Activities Director, you'll need to be a master planner and a skilled multitasker. You should have a knack for organizing various activities, from movie nights to holiday celebrations, while ensuring they comply with regulations. Posting calendars, encouraging resident engagement, and assisting with transportation are all crucial tasks that require your attention to detail and empathy. Additionally, your ability to collaborate with volunteers and community organizations will enhance the overall experience for our residents. Being able to track participation, distribute mail, and provide one-on-one activities when needed are all part of creating a vibrant and engaging environment for our seniors. Requirements:
Completion of a qualified Activities Director program, such as "Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist" (CTRS) offered by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Certification may be attained once hired and in a timely manner. ?High school diploma or GED. ?Current CPR certification.?Dedicated interest in assisting residents through the implementation of socially, mentally and physically active recreation. ?Proven track record of successful mentoring, coaching and management of staff. ?Able and willing to take direction from management. ?Empathic communication skills including focused listening and providing feedback. ?Reads, writes, speaks, and understands the English language. ?Familiarity with the relevant services offered by community and social organizations. ?Self-directed organizational skills that enhance the ability to manage numerous priorities. ?History of ethical and professional conduct. ?Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods ?Patience and acceptance of constant change in own work environment. ?Cooperates and problem-solves with other departments and staff, residents, vendors, and others to support overall team and corporate goals. ?Maintains comprehensive knowledge of activities program best practices. ?History of ethical conduct. Current Class E Driver's license with understanding of and ability to operate and see to the maintenance of the company vehicle.
