Job Description
Job Description Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity where you can improve the lives of children? Crittenton Children's Center is looking for an Expressive Exercise Therapist to work with the Kansas City area's premier provider of psychiatric care for children, adolescents and their families. This position is concerned with providing expressive therapy modalities that are consistent with the treatment needs of patients and coordinating expressive therapy programs for patients through participation in the multidisciplinary treatment team throughout all programs. Cooperatively follows programs completes assessments documents behavior and progress.
Shift:
Mon-Fri 9-5. Occasional evenings and weekends to support special events and outings (twice a month at most). Time can be flexed to accommodate weekend and evening events to maintain limit of 40 hours worked per week. No on-call or holiday responsibilities Plans and conducts group sessions with our hospital patients ages 3-18 and group and individual sessions with our residential patients ages 12-18 Assists in planning and facilitating 1 outing per quarter with residential patients Plans and facilitates additional activities during summer and school breaks for residential patients Has access to a patient gym with standard gym equipment and outdoor recreation areas. Assists in developing programs, completes assessments, documents behavior, and progress. Responsible for creating and implementing community integration outings. Assists in developing and executing special events programming throughout the year. Requires a bachelors degree in a related field (exercise, fitness, physical education, kinesiology, dance/movement therapy) and relevant certification (CTRS, Trauma Informed Fitness Certificate, Certified Personal Trainer, ISSA, orNASM, BC-DMT
). 1 - 3 years of experience working with at risk youth. Must have a clean driving record. Why Saint Luke's?
