Join Our Team as an Activity Director - Long-Term Care Community Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a creative, compassionate, and energetic Activity Director to lead engaging programs that enrich the lives of our residents in a long-term care setting . As our Activity Director, you'll play a vital role in enhancing resident wellness through therapeutic, recreational, and social activities that promote connection, stimulation, and joy. Maya Angelou Key Responsibilities:
Assess resident interests and abilities to plan appropriate activities Facilitate daily programs that encourage social interaction, communication, and well-being Coordinate events with volunteers, families, and community groups Plan and lead special events, crafts, entertainment, games , and more Maintain a cheerful environment through decorating and seasonal displays Motivate residents to participate and stay engaged Supervise activity programs and provide extra support where needed Ensure the activity area remains organized and welcoming
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with crafts, games, and group facilitation Previous activities director or CNA experience preferred
