Company Overview Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is dedicated to promoting the dignity of human life within a variety of high-quality, specialized communities. We provide older adults with programs and community-based services that enable them to live their best lives fully and vibrantly. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Wellness Guide to inspire and support our community members in achieving their health and wellness goals. Functions as a Wellness Guide responsible for carrying out Wellness programming for (Our Lady of Life/Mother of Perpetual Help/Memory Care/Mary Queen and Mother Center) under the direction of the Wellness Champions and Director of Wellness, aimed at enhancing the overall health and wellbeing of individuals for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis' senior services line, Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the facilitation of programming designed by the Wellness Champions in respective levels of care. Set up and break down rooms for events and programs. Assist with gathering and supervise residents for classes and events. Availability to travel within the greater STL metro area with the residents to offsite events. Submit and document attendance in Lifeloop. Perform quarterly and intake assessments for residents in Matrix Care (for applicable residents). Contact and assist new residents and works with the resident Care Coordinator, Wellness Champions, and Director of Wellness to help develop an individual activity plan to stimulate mental and physical abilities. Review plans with residents, record response, and adapt plan to the resident as needs and interests change. Supervise, maintain, and regularly evaluate the use of the activity rooms and recreation areas. Help residents register for Lifeloop and documents likes and dislikes in resident portal. Utilize safety techniques and infection control practices in all aspects of task performances. Participate in department, interdepartmental meetings, and other scheduled meetings as they relate to Administration and/or resident care. Other duties as assigned (please see the complete job description on file) Knowledge and Experience Requirements CPR/AED/First Aid Certification. Minimum of 1 year experience working with older adults. Skills and Competencies Required Must obtain CDL license within 90 days of hire Knowledge of infection control. Knowledge of the dimensions of wellness. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Weekly participation in entering data into Lifeloop. #IND2
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
